My Love & Hate With Vlogmas

Thanks to Vlogmas, December has become the a pivitol month in the YouTube calendar. Each year more and more YouTubers jump on the band wagon increasing the pressure to be as cute and festive as possible. 2015 saw cartoon opening sequences and the prettiest professional stop motion.

I can admit that like the majorityof audiences I am a fan of vlogmas. I find them light hearted to watch and little segments to inspire festive spirit. Wrapping presents, baking and decorating trees little joyful life episodes to enjoy with a hot chocolate. However there was an obvious flaw in vlogmas. Most vloggers film until Christmas day then stop some even before Christmas eve to enjoy time with friends and families (as Christmas should be) but then the build up seems pointless when you don't get to see the main event. You see the Christmas food shop and preparation, the buying of presents and wrapping them but don't get a glimpse of the finished result.

Personally I would much prefer Christmas activity vlogs (the highlights) then a sweet montage style vlogs over christmas eve, christmas day and boxing day finishing of with a what I got for Christmas haul.

Despite my love hate relationship with vlogmas here is a round up of my favourite vlogmas videos from 2015:

Frowmas: Beautiful manicures, high fashion choices and lots of travel Victoria from In The Frow had the most lustworthy Christmas. My favourite video from her vlogmas has to be when she traveled to Iceland for her brothers 30th birthday surprise. Shot in a more eerie and artsy way to her usual style.

Sprinkle of Chatter: Always a favourite homey days and humour are the real highlights of Louise's vlogmas. Seeing Dracy leave notes for fairies could warm up even the coldest of ice queens heart.
